Delta’s Top 25 O&D Routes that Connected via ATL in 2020

Los Angeles-Orlando at #6. I flew the route 18 times last year. Beginning of the pandemic they canceled all of the Orlando flights, so my only option was through ATL, and one through JFK. Then they added the flights back, and it finished the year with 4x daily. I'm loving the extra frequency as it allows me to work around the schedule.

I'm awfully curious how to compares to a 'normal' year.

9 surprises me since there are typically several non-stops per day MCO-SLC. Not sure how many were operating for most of the period covered by this data, however,

I would guess that wouldn’t be far off from normal. ATL is likely the #1 connecting hub for traffic into/out of Florida.

4. Paris Orly-Pointe-a-Pitre (118,594)
5. Tehran Imran Khomeini-Istanbul Ataturk (110,936)

The four busiest US domestic routes were all out of Atlanta, with Fort Lauderdale (215,248) in top place, followed by Orlando, Miami and Tampa.

Hmmmm, they're using the term 'international air routes' pretty loosely here IMO.

IKA-IST is quite interesting though. Didn't realize there was so much demand between Turkey and Iran.
