Delta e-credit question
I'm having trouble getting a straight answer on Delta's e-credit for flights booked in this current period (prior to 3/31). The website says, if we can't travel due to Covid, the "e-credit toward the purchase of a new ticket for a period of one year from the original issue date." What is not clear is whether you can use the credit to change flights within this one year period to purchase a flight that is after the one year from original purchase. Example: Ticket for July, 2021 purchased in late January 2021. Cancellation and e-credit must of course be done before the July trip, and using the credit must be done before January 2022, BUT can you use that credit for flights in July of 2022 (12 months after the cancelled flight)? A delta agent said no, the travel agent says "yes". Delta's website gives no info at all. Anyone know?
