Shop small has worked out to free spring rolls for my favorite takeout sushi place

I'm kind of annoyed that this promotion didn't go live a few days earlier because I just dropped $400 on an emergency window covering situation yesterday and having that count toward the bonus miles would have been nice. And that charge is still showing as pending rather than posted.

At least I've still got about $5K in property taxes and insurance bills I can run through this before the end of the year in addition to normal spend.

This is good - only issue for me is that it showed up on my Delta Platinum offers, not Delta Reserve - I have been on the phone with Amex for 20 minutes to see if they can switch it. I run into this issue somewhat frequently

Showing for me on both my business Platinum and personal Reserve.

I'm kind of surprised to see an MQM promo when we are already getting two years to earn MQMs.

I think that means AMEX is keeping Delta afloat or things are worse at Widget HQ than we thought. Or both.

It's a nice little bump in RDMs also.

Are 90k MQM - PM for 29 months and 175k DL miles worth the cost of 2500$ + fees 500?

In times of trouble Cash is King - DL knows you need money to travel in the coming future. They MUST be seeing terrible booking ahead.

My real question is this - - is 90k MQM and 175k DL miles worth the cost of 2500$ + 250$ fee x2 = 3000$?

I downgraded the Reserve cards to the Blue card and Blue for business cards when the pandemic hit
I can switch the company spend to them as DL platinum cards over 4 months -
50k on DL plat = 50k RDM, 25k RDM bonus + 20k MQM + 25k MQM bonus = 45k MQM and 75k RDM
50k on Business DL plat = 50k RDM, 25k RDM bonus + 20k MQM + 25k MQM bonus = 45k MQM and 100k RDM
So 100k spend = lost cash for me is 2.525% with BofA = 2525$ cash back
or
I can do the spend on the 2 x Amex Blue Plus for business = 50k cards x 2 = 100k Amex + 100k Amex = 200k Amex - transfer to Schwab = 2500$ cash in hand

I know that I will get cash of 2500 minimum by any of 2 methods
The DL cards will cost 250$x2= 500$ - so total lost cash is 3000$
DL miles do not expire = 1750$ value - so net cost is 1250$ for maximizing this offer
DL status rolls over to next year so 90k now = 90k in 2021 - lasts till 2022 Dec+ Jan
= about 29 months of DL PM status costs about 1250$ = 40$ a month with unknown travel plans
What would you do?

My SO had the Reserve till April and downgraded it to a Gold card - does not have the offer on card now
I downgraded in July - I have the offer - so I think the offer goes to who ever had a DL Plat or Reserve AS OF JULY 1

It was on my Business Reserve card that I had already topped out on MQM boosts this year, but not on the Personal Reserve card that I just signed up for a couple of months ago...odd.

Seems like pretty much all the co-branded card issuers were offered discounted miles from airlines trying to raise cash a few months back. I suspect the current promo ends up cheaper for AmEx than the previous 4x on groceries was
N515CR and hi55us like this.
