Unusual Altitude (41000) A332?

Showing exactly one hour out on DL99 CDG>DTW aboard an A332. I noticed for the last couple of hours that we’ve been at 41,000 feet, which I think is a first for me on a commercial aircraft.

Not that unusual. My CDG - RDU on a 763 last month spent a good deal of time at 41000 feet.

A330 service ceiling is listed as 41.5k -42.5k depending on source

That's pretty high altitude. You could be the first to join the 7 mile high club.

As long as you can finish what you started.

A man was just caught on a United flight when he tried going solo but was having a tough go of it. He brought his wife into the lavatory for some assistance but was busted.

Not unusual. OVER 41K would be, but up to 41K Is normal.

If memory serves, TPAC 747s in the 1980's would climb to 39000 and after significant fuel burn would then climb to 43000 per the pilot's announcement.

I just flew AMS-JFK on a 789 and it spent a good amount of time at 41000. Also a few LHR-JNB flights on a 789 cruised at 41000.
