Seat map discrepancy between booking vs My Trips

Looking at my DL5260 tomorrow, I noticed that Delta's booking engine shows that every single Y seats have been taken whereas My Trip shows that there are 12 other seats that I can choose. What would cause such difference?

FWIW, EF shows Y0 B0 M0 H0 Q0 K0 L0 U0 T0 X0 V0 E0 & EF's seat map shows every seat blocked for tomorrow.

Often this changes based on what cabin you are seated in. Try booking a dummy reservation without being logged in.

They probably aren't showing them because it's Y0 and hence no way to actually book a coach seat when purchasing a new ticket (even though there are unassigned seats in coach). More than likely, there are numerous pax on BE fares who have yet to be assigned a seat.

Interestingly, EF says that they are full too even though I can change my seats.

Ah I think that may be the answer.

I believe EF is just pulling it from DL's website and since DL is showing as full for anyone who is not actually booked on the flight, so will EF.

EF used to indicate the seats that were blocked for crew rest, special needs, etc. I haven't seen such seats designated recently, only (I suspect) marking them as occupied. It was good information to have in the past.
