In my case, it was a December holiday flight, there literally was no place where I could be reseated (the elbowing started as people were still boarding), and it was 44 minutes wheels up to down, so I just put up with it.

The creepier part was that I was getting home after dark, I was flying alone, and the car was parked in a poorly lit overflow lot that's very isolated. And I'm female and had more than a little concern that he'd take issue with me protecting my space and follow me into that lot.
In a situation like that, couldn't you tell airport security that you don't feel safe and ask them to escort you to your car? Would they do that?

I was assaulted while sitting in 2B, so it definitely can happen in the F cabin. The fellow in 2A was mentally disturbed and would not leave me alone after I put my headphones in. FA voluntarily downgraded me to E+ and 10,000 SkyPesos. I wasn't thrilled but it beat the heck out of sitting next to someone who kept touching me and shouting at me. 2A was arrested when we landed, and I gave a brief witness statement - I think the prosecutor eventually dropped the case cause the guy was clearly mental.

I was assaulted on a PMNW TPAC flight in WBC (IIRC the pair of seats that reclined almost flat in the nose of a 747, which would be 4E/4F) by a guy who had connected from BKK and was drunk when he boarded. I can only guess how he spent his holiday in Thailand. At the time, I decided not to make a fuss because I didn't want the flight to divert (ANC?) and needed to get home that day. In retrospect, I should have reported the jerk when we were close to landing instead of just walking away quickly to get away from him.

On a KLM TATL flight exAMS (first row of the upper deck of a 747, where I had the aisle seat), my drunk seatmate deliberately spilled his glass of OJ in my seat after I refused to switch for the window seat. (He was verbally abusive in English too.) The FA saw it all and quickly switched the cushions so that the wet seat became his window seat. He passed out before takeoff and didn't move until we landed, so he didn't bother me further.

After this bozo did this the flight attendant button above my head would have been depressed in two microseconds followed by telling a flight attendant I have just been assaulted and please instruct a LEO to meet us upon arrival at Minneapolis.

I'm with you on this. I know we are all different, but if somebody put his hands around my neck and squeezed (however briefly) I would be up out of the seat and howling for help.

First, I would have let the person know that I didn't appreciate his gesture and don't want people touching me, let alone putting me in a chokehold. If his next word uttered was anything other than, "Sorry about that..." I would have contacted the FA.

Second, the comment asking if this was Skywest, 'cause they are the worst, while perhaps being true for various reasons it is a BIG stretch to suggest that this could only happen on a Skywest flight.

Of course no one is saying that this could happen only on a SkyWest flight, but how a FA might respond could well depend on the particular DLConnection carrier. That would enter into my decision making if I had been the victim here.

Perhaps I read too much into your comment.. probably best if we both stop slamming Skywest on this one :-)

I would have got up went to FA to report the attack.. and yes its attack, made sure that idiot was greeted by cops upon arrival..
if we dont report these actions by fellow passengers. they will continue to get away with stupid behavior...
(cant really use the words I would )

I had something happen like this many years ago don't recall if it was on Delta or America West circa 2005 maybe on Delta 2006 because I recall watching "Stealh" on my portable DVD player and it was a new release.

Crazy lady (who I must add looked amazing) in middle seat between myself and what was a creepy looking guy who probably deserved it. But the lady during the flight would randomly blurt out Stop looking at me etc. I don't know if I dreamt it or not because it was a red eye but I think she even threw something at him.

FA Never came over that I recall. but then again red eye so if she/he did I might have been knocked out.

I'm pretty impressed with the measured responses here.
Some moron puts his hand on my throat and my first response is my left hand on his right wrist and my right hand pulling his thumb back until he's howling or it breaks.
Then, I'll push the call button.
I know I'll probably have to spend some time on arrival dealing with it but it would be pretty much an automatic response.

Well, that was crazy. Congrats on not over-reacting which would have been the normal reaction.

So how did the rest of the fight err flight go?
