I went ahead and booked.
RT JFK-ZRH-JFK for 32k
and
JFK-BNA for 8k
Able to book ZRH-JFK-BNA as one flight, so MCT should be okay, even though it is 93min. (If booked as one trip, it would cost 37k one way and $254. RT would be 74k.)
Will hope for the best.

I arrived on Sunday at 4pm from Rome. It took me 24 minutes to be from 1G to the back seat of my car service with 4 checked bags.
