1800 flowers Paper certs from an old DL promo

I was going thru my old file folders and found $400 worth of / 1800 flowers Paper certs from an old DL promo will InsideFlyer have the inside story on 1800Flowers promo?

. Their CS says they can't redeem since expired? Worthless now? Aren't there state laws that prohibits that?

Hi VickH, with regards to state laws regarding vouchers and store credit, what state do you live in? What terms and conditions are listed on the paper certs?

Appears to be a state of denial.

California is the state that doesn’t allow gift cards to expire.

Not sure if these promotional certs would fall into the same category.

Did you call their CS or write to corporate CS? Writing to corporate CS may get better results. May not be full value, but likely something.

There's no laws in aware except for gift cards. Also the laws on those generally only effect cards issued after the laws effective date.

Washington State generally prohibits expiration of gift cards except in limited circumstances. RCW 19.240.020: Unlawful actions?Remaining value?Lost/stolen gift certificates.
However, these might be more properly called Promotional Certificates if you did not purchase them. So perhaps it is legal for them to expire.
