Any issues with separating a booking?
I'm trying to book JFK to VIE RT for Jan. It looks like I can either connect in CDG or AMS on non Delta metal (KLM or AF) for about $1200 Y fare.
If I book JFK - AMS on Delta and then make a separate reservation for KLM AMS - VIE, would there be any issues doing so? The flight from JFK- AMS is about half price and PWM eligible. Want to make sure Im not missing anything.that would make doing this unadvisable.
Thanks in advance for the help.

If this is a RT, you can't count on being able to check a bag through on the return, AF/KLM to a separate DL ticket. YMMV.

If you purchase both tickets through Delta, they'll protect in event of IRROPS. DL can sell a KLM fare but you'll need to call as delta.com won't sell anything but DL fares.
