MQD discrepancies
Has anyone else had issues with MQDs lately? I have noticed on recent flights that the MQDs credited are less than the base fare paid (not including taxes), usually by $100-120 in range. I challenged a recent error and got a standard reply that did not address the issue. I filed another request and it's gone to the auditors for review. If this is an isolated incident, no big deal, but if it's widespread across the DL community, this could mean millions of miles not properly credited. Thoughts?

No problems here. These are my most recent DL flights from a few weeks ago. As seen below, MQD's split based on segment distance and add up to base fare.
AZO-YUL Fare Details: AZO DL X/DTT DL YMQ164.00XAUNA0ML USD164.00END AZO-DTW 29 MQDS + DTW-YUL 135 MQDS = 164 MQDS
YUL-AZO Fare Details: YMQ DL X/DTT DL AZO326.00QAUNA0MQ CAD326.00END YUL-DTW 203 MQDS + DTW-AZO 43 MQDS = 246 MQDS (xe.com currently showing 326 CAD == 247.75 USD)
What are your examples? Did you make any changes to your flights? Did you fly them as booked? Are these all DL marketed flights? Any consolidator/package fares? What does the reward method code say?

Obvious one for me, LBJ, recently was LAX/SEA = 98 MQDs (open jaw) then BOS/BNA + 144 MQDs - total MQDs credited = $242. Base fare paid (class W/G) = $385.90. So $144 discrepancy. Direct book with DL, DL flights, flown as booked, no changes. Reward - R = Mileage earned based on ticket price

I have a trip coming up this weekend that I haven't changed since booking and I expect that to post correctly.

I've had problems on a couple of flights recently. It seems that if there's been a schedule change from the original purchase, that "breaks" the automatic calculation of MQDs on a segment basis, and it must be manually corrected. I check each one these days.

I now have a script for the phone call with these:
Me: "Could you look up the cost for this trip in the system?"
Phone Agent: "Yes Mr. DCAHome, the base fare for this trip was $500."
Me: "Thanks. Could you look up the credit I received for my MQDs?"
Phone Agent: "Yes. It looks like you received 350. That looks like a problem."
Me: "I agree. Would you be able to fix that?"
Phone Agent: "I'll have it re-queued so they can manually re-calculate the credit."
I make this sound like a joke, but when I've started out by saying the MQDs were incorrect, I've had phone agents try to convince me that MQDs aren't always equal to the base fare. HUCA.

In my last 5 trips I've had MQDs correctly calculated in only 1 of them. The other 4 had to be manually reviewed and recalculated. All of those 4 itineraries experienced some kind of change since booking (generally due to a schedule change). I've never seen a MQD mistake that was in my favor however.
I have a trip coming up this weekend that I haven't changed since booking and I expect that to post correctly.

All that I've needed to do is call in to Skymiles (usually no hold unlike reservations) and they say it'll be fixed within 7 business days - usually actually fixed within 6-12 hours.

Constantly having MQD problems...they post about half or less than half of the pre-tax cost paid...and it's taking longer and longer for the Skymiles service center to fix...they re-que it and it comes back wrong again so they claim it has to be done a different way......I've said several times to the agents......if that's what Skymiles said I paid $254 but the ticket says and I actually paid $554 just give me a refund of the $300 difference and you can keep the mqd's and the skymiles ...I'm honestly tired of arguing over it..

I have had a ton of problems with this, but 99% of them have to do with using some sort of credit from last year or some sort of re-issue/exchange. The agents were telling me that when the system is applying the ticket value, it is doing it against when Delta collected the fare. So for unused tickets I have from 2017, the MQD fairy is trying to apply the value to my 2017 MQD values.

Not sure if this is related or not, but I just received a refund for a paid upgrade to G where I was ultimately downgraded back to coach. and the refund amount was roughy 1/3 of the upgrade fee. They did, however, throw in a $200 voucher as a goodwill gesture, so not sure if I should complain.
