Accessing Delta Club after landing
As an Amex Plat Cardholder flying on a Delta Flight. Can one access the San Fran Delta Lounge without a further connection while awaiting the arrival of others? I saw this was possible on a dated thread. Need a more current update. Thanks!

American Express Platinum Charge Card Members have access to the Delta Sky Clubs in conjunction with same-day travel on a flight operated by Delta. This does not include Platinum Delta SkyMiles Credit Card and Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card Members. At partner lounges, guest access is subject to the policies of each lounge partner. Delta Sky Club cannot guarantee guest entry at partner locations."

Yes. Have done this multiple times including at SFO specifically with AMEX Plat and arriving on DL flight
I often do it even for just 5 minutes to grab a quick coffee before heading to where I'm going

I do it a good bit at domestic airports, but somewhat less so since checked bags arrive within twenty minutes.

Yes. I do this on a semi-regular basis, and no issues whatsoever.
Typically for the following purposes:
1) Time to grab a coffee & snack, collect myself, get some email/work done when flying out early morning before heading from the airport to a meeting or client site
2) Getting off a red-eye
3) Waiting for others arriving on different flights getting in at different times

I think this will change with the 2019 rules coming...but for now, I do it all the time with my SkyClub membership.

Only change is needing a DL BP to access regardless of method of entry. Currently SC members can enter without showing a BP on any airline. Basically members will have to follow the same rule as AMEX card holders and need a DL BP.

At certain times, I've had my eboarding pass expire or no longer show on my device. While SkyClub agent do have access to flight information, it is always a good idea to take a screenshot of your eboarding pass to expedite your entry.
