A tale of two return date changes
I have a Z ticket to GVA in June. Almost half of the ticket was purchased with a previous ticket that expired in December 2017.
I wanted to change my return date by two days but DL says that means buying a one-way ticket GVA-OKC. What happens after I have flown the outbound? What kind of headwinds does one face in that scenario?
On the domestic front, I would like to take an earlier flight out of CHA this Sunday. I am booked on the only non-CRJ200 flight which does not leave until 3:40 pm. I can see in EF at least DL #958 (MD88) that leaves CHA at 8AM for ATL and would connect to any number of flights to OKC.
However, DL claims that if I took #958 I must go on to SLC then OKC. I do not remember this kind of scenario and I know CHA-ATL is a short flight to endure a CJR-200 - yet not worth the fees - but could someone help me understand the rules in play here with a V fare ticket?
