Given the limited space, they are not likely to want to give up the cargo revenue to use that space for additional pillows. Many of the Central/South American flights have extremely lucrative cargo contracts, and without a widebody operating the flight the supply of space is even more limited.

I could be wrong, but I don't think it's a space issues as much as it is a weight issue, and pillows are not heavy.
