GUCs and waitlisting
Is it possible to use a GUC to upgrade from main cabin to premium economy on the A350 while on the waitlist for Delta One suites? There is a ton of PE inventory open and 22 suites open for a flight 75 days out. Has anyone had luck doing this, clearing right away to PE and staying on the waitlist for D1 suites? I'm already waitlisted so I'm wondering if I call and somehow get this done, will I move down on said waitlist?

Though you can go directly from Main to D1, but have to risk the PS seat going away...right?

You can absolutely go from MC to D1...if an agent tells you otherwise either hang up and call again or ask to speak with a supervisor. I guess not having a better seat is the risk you take.
