Adding Trip Extras

I booked a Delta flight thru Chase Ultimate Rewards site and brought up my reservation on Delta. For some reason I can't add trip extras like wifi day pass and mileage booster. Any idea as to why I can't do this?

You can always buy wifi onboard.

Mileage booster - what sort of rate is that these days? Last I knew it was well above what they are worth. LOL!

How many days since the reservations was booked via Chase? Possible it is still processing??

You can buy the wifi pass directly from GoGo. Not as cheap as buying it in advance from Delta but much less than buying it on board.

Any possibility that Delta has coded this as a bulk fare, and it's inhibiting Extras purchases as a rule on bulk fares?

Bulk fare? Sorry I'm not familiar with that...

By using the Chase Ultimate Rewards site, you booked through a Travel Agent. Not booking through Delta directly can impact what options are available through delta.com, as the TA, not Delta, control the ticket.

You may also find them described as /IT fares in this forum because that appears in the fare construction line. Delta is now describing them as Exception fares, as they follow an exception to mileage/MQD-earning rules.

You may find (have found?) that Chase's TA portal for your MR redemption has a negotiated fare - not a Delta published fare - for your route. Or, as CPMaverick posits, any ticket purchase outside of Delta or delta.com has some restrictions on Extras purchases.

I never get extras since most of my flights are international, it always shows as unavailable except for the few domestics I take.

Are you saying that I won't get MQM/MQDs for the mileage run? I would be really upset if that is the case. Everything I read said as long as you don't use points plus cash the ticket will count towards them.

Sorry I should have read the link you posted first... so it looks like everything would be the same as normal with the exception of MQDs. In this case it looks to be way more than what I "paid" for the ticket.
