Delta at LAX
Hello All,
We typically fly F/C out of LAX via AA. We walk in and go to the priority line and get our F/C tickets , give them our bags and go upstairs to the priority security lines...
We fly out December 21 2017 and this time we are using Delta.
My questions:
Does Delta have a priority line where we can get our F/C tickets and give them our bags?
After that do they have a priority security line as well?
In case you are wondering, we do not like printing our tickets from home as we had a bad experience once where my husbands ticket would not scan, yet mine and the kids did. They were printed same time/same printer. Husband had to leave the line and go back downstairs to get a ticket printed.
Thank you for all your help.

If you pull in right at the very beginning of Terminal 2 at LAX, there is a special 'Delta One' sign, where you can stroll in and be taken care of, see: https://www.delta.com/content/www/en...-terminal.html
I believe there are steps required during this process, so keep that in mind if anyone needs any assistance or steps are difficult (as happened to me last week when traveling with a companion that was using a wheelchair).

Also, when you say "FC" do you mean "First Class" or "Delta One" on a trascon to JFK or DCA or an TPAC/TATL destination? If you're in regular FC (domestic or to Canada or Mexico), you will use the "SkyPriority" check-in. If you're flying nonstop to JFK or DCA, or international (TPAC/TATL) and are going out of T2, you should be able to use the Delta One check-in.

Where are you flying to (where is your FIRST leg out of LAX, not necessarily your final destination)? That will determine where you need to go at LAX (T2 or T3). If flying to one of these cities, use T2:

I thought it was regardless of whether you departed from that terminal that was where you still needed to check-in. I've gone out of both T2 and T3 for flights up to Seattle, though SEA is a T3 check-in destination. I think on my previous trip through LAX my flight to OGG went out of T3 despite the list showing as T2. But I would still check-in based on where the list says you should check-in.

Be aware that Delta recenlty moved from Terminal 5 (which was overcrowded but things ran pretty well) to terminals 2 & 3. This will eventually be a fantastic operation, but it's right now very much a work in progress, and especially terminal 3 is in really bad shape. Delta knows this, yet they agreed to the move because it got them more gates & space and they will eventually have a beautiful facility after lots of construction and spending lots of money. But right now they don't. But yes, to answer your question, there is first class check in and security.
If you are in First Class (domestic & Mexico/Canada/Caribbean) follow signs at check in & security for Sky Priority at either terminal 2 or 3, depending on where your gate is (check your flight status online before you head to the airport--if you have an iphone or android phone, download the Fly Delta app which will have this info for you).
If you are in Delta One (international business class), there is a special & exclusive check in area for Delta One at Terminal 2, this is a step above Sky Priority in terms of service, though there have been reports that since they moved terminals it has not been as well run.
Throughout your journey you will be considered a Sky Priority passenger, which is a suite of services from check in to baggage claim that includes faster check in, priority security, priority boarding, priority luggage, priority customer services lines at airports if you have an issue etc.

I dont believe we are Delta One.
Is there a "Sky Priority" line?
We are flying to San Francisco.
Also do you know if the Sky priority (if there is one) will take our check in bags as well as print us our boarding passes?
Thank you

I assume the tickets they email us will have the terminal as well on them?

When you check in, it should tell you what terminal, but probably not which gate. Note that the terminal could change before departure time, though, so it's best to check again on your way to LAX (you may have a gate assignment by then as well).

No. Gates can change frequently, you should check on your way to the airport. However, the flights from LAX-SFO are usually (almost always) at LAX terminal 3. There is a Sky Priority desk there for checking in and checking your luggage, and a Sky Priority security line.
Note that terminal 3 has minimal food options and is overcrowded. I would not try to spend a lot of extra time there. Arriving 60-75 minutes before your flight should be sufficient since you are in first class.
