Can book D1 for $559 from JFK to LAX, Worth it?

6 hour flight but the cost is up there, although down from normal rate... Is it worth the price? New to Delta and am PM, but know I have no shot at being upgraded without paying or RUC

Assuming that you need to fly this route, what would a coach ticket cost? How about alternative routings between LA and NYC, for instance with one connection? Or are you thinking of doing it as a MR?

Book Jet Blue Mint if you can snag one of their suites. Soooo much better than 2x2 on the 757.

We start considering D1 once those Z-fares get down to around $650.

Not worth it if you're trying to get to MIA.

It is a nice ride (although I've only been on the 757 to date, not on the 767, where you can get single seats). I prefer B6 by a bit, but no complaints with D1. The current wine offerings are exceptional for a domestic USA flight, and better than domestic airlines' international business offerings.

Today's schedule had the lie flat 757s (code 75S), 763s, 764s, and an A333. Plane and time of day (or willingness to try to use a lie-flat to try to sleep during the day) will determine scale of value for many.

The lie flat is easily worth it to me. Though the food was just awful when we flew this last weekend.

You can pay $600 for a one way FC between LAX and ATL and get a 737 so I'd definitely consider $559 for a much better ride.

Fully disagree. While the suites are funky, the seats are really uncomfortable and the WiFi is awful.
