2KU from Pushback to Park?

"2Ku also offers continuous connectivity from pushback to park."

Does this mean Delta will enable the WiFi when the plane has 2Ku for the ENTIRE time on board or do they still turn it on only when above 10,000 feet?

FWIW, WN's WiFi is available the entire time you're aboard, so it's definitely possible.

Was on a 2ku bird last night and it lasted all the way to landing.

Didn't connect til after 10000' so not sure it was enabled prior to that.

On all the 2KU birds I've flown, it's been gate to gate, with the exception of Havana (but something tells me that isn't DL :/)

2KU is from gate to gate, when it's a 2KU flight I start watching movies as soon as I sit down the wifi also works as well. Only downside about starting the movie at the gate and trying to finish it at the gate is all the announcements.

I am confused. If you are using Wifi on your own device, how would you hear the announcements?

To be fair I have noise cancelling headphones and depending on the volume of the speakers and the screaming level of the FA its very easy to hear them

Flew on a 2KU plane on Saturday and it wasn’t turned on until after we took off but lasted until we landed (FA still have to flip WiFi switch manually)

I watch the movies delta provides and they pause during announcements.

Since when? I know AA does that, but never had it on DL.

There should be a visual and audio warning (few seconds) of pending announcements before they are made instead of just jumping in.

Agreed. I have yet to have gate-to-gate Wifi movies on my personal device but when they make announcements above 10K it does not stop my movie. If I am curious, I have to remove my AirPods to listen to the DL sound system.

I was on a N315NB (A319) with 2KU from OAK-SLC-MCI yesterday. I had wifi from pushback all the way to arrival at the destination gate.

Had it yesterday on SLC-BOS and it was on at pushback to the arrival gate.

Super slow and intermittent however for the first 90 min.

Wow I thought the WIFI signal is hooked into the Flight Management System and would automatically engage and disengage at 10,000 feet. Did not realize it was a physical manual switch,
