Upcoming trip, does it matter for MQM standpoint if I book Delta or KLM

I'm going SLC - DXB and on the return MUC - SLC

I'm on the cusp of Gold status.

When I search ITA, there is an all Delta option

Salt Lake City (SLC) to Paris (CDG) — Wed, Nov 1
Delta 106
Boeing 767
Economy (U)
Layover in CDG

Paris (CDG) to Dubai (DXB) — Thu, Nov 2
Delta 8626
Boeing 777
Economy (U)
OPERATED BY AIR FRANCE

Munich (MUC) to Atlanta (ATL) — Wed, Nov 15
Delta 131
Boeing 767
Economy (U)

Atlanta (ATL) to Salt Lake City (SLC) — Wed, Nov 15
Delta 2751
Boeing 757
Economy (U)

and a KLM option (for $300 cheaper)

Salt Lake City (SLC) to Toronto (YYZ) — Wed, Nov 1
Delta 2797
Airbus A320
Economy (X)

Toronto (YYZ) to Amsterdam (AMS) — Wed, Nov 1
KLM 692
Boeing 747
Economy (R)

Amsterdam (AMS) to Dubai (DXB) — Thu, Nov 2
KLM 427
Boeing 777
Economy (R)
Munich (MUC) to Salt Lake City (SLC) — Wed, Nov 15

Munich (MUC) to Atlanta (ATL) — Wed, Nov 15
KLM 6131
Economy (T)
OPERATED BY DELTA

Atlanta (ATL) to Salt Lake City (SLC) — Wed, Nov 15
KLM 5444
4h 14m
Boeing 757
Economy (T)
OPERATED BY DELTA

Of the two which one is better from a MQM earning standpoint? Does being a KLM fare make MQMs go down? Is there a better earning routing?

I have total flexibility when booking through whatever airline. Thanks in advance

No difference for MQM. MQM is simply per flight distance regardless.

I wouldn't take the KL option. You'll have to clear Canadian immigration and customs before catching your AMS flight.

TATL KL tickets that consist only of KL/DL flights now earn MQD's based on spend just like DL tickets. So given that the KL ticket is cheaper, it will earn fewer MQD's (and fewer redeemable miles). As already mentioned, MQM's are mileage based and will be 100% of miles flown in both cases.

Check the numbers, but I would guess that routing via Toronto and Amsterdam earns slightly more MQMs.

I would also see about upgrading with miles, as that's a long trip, particularly on the outbound, not to be in business-class. Air France, which operates the Paris to Dubai segment, sells upgrades as does its sister airline KLM if you prefer to pay cash over miles.
