Delta SkyClub access in a different terminal?

If I have a same-day boarding pass on a different airline departing from a different terminal that is not connected airside, can I use the Delta SkyClub in SFO that has now moved airside? In other words, will TSA let me through at the Delta terminal when I am not flying Delta but have a same-day boarding pass on a different carrier flying out of a different terminal? I am scheduled to have a long layover there on a different airline, and figure that the new SFO SkyClub is probably a much more pleasant place to be than a seat near a gate somewhere. Thank you all in advance for your insights!

If you are on American or Virgin America, there is now an airside connector between Delta's concourse and the AA/VA concourse at SFO.

If TSA won't let you through, you could try asking at the Delta counter for a gate pass and see what they say.

Yes, I know, but it's Southwest and United, so no connectors there, unfortunately.

Just use a phone BP... Then the TSA will never even see your boarding pass to question it.

I thought I read earlier this year that at most airports under new TSA rules if you have a same day boarding pass you are allowed to access any part of the airport. It's just not just club access but at certain airports different restaurants are in different concourses or terminals if you want access. At ATL for example once you clear security you have access to just about any concourse.

When I fly Delta from SFO go to the AMEX Centurion in United wing first. Never and issue.

This may vary by airport. I know that at MSP a same day boarding pass allows you to access either terminal. However last year I flew into one of the SAN terminals and wanted to meet arriving friends at a gate in the other; the TSA agents would not allow that.

I didn't think you could go back airside after exiting from an arriving flight anyway.

YMMV. You can at MSP. If you've picked up large checked baggage you would have to pay to leave it at the bag storage place.

SFO should let you through. Have done this plenty of times.

My understanding is that TSA rules say yes, but YMMV.

BTW there's also a Centurion lounge at SFO if you have an AmEx card.

The TSA policy is that so long as you have a valid same-day BP for the airport, you may use it at any checkpoint. Period. It has been this way for over 5 years.

It is likely the case that most people attempting to enter a concourse other than from which they will be departing are doing so in error and therefore TSA directs them to the "correct" concourse, but if you simply point out that you do know what you are doing and ask for a supervisor if necessary, you will get your way.

Best way to make this happen is not to create a confrontation.

File a complaint with TSA if you do not.
