Flying SFO-SLC this eve and we hit a 45 minute maintenance delay. Several folks opted to get off the plane including a couple pax in F.
I was 1/0 on the upgrade list so if there had been a no show I would have been next. Now the flight is going out with two empty seats in F.
My question: normally the GA sorts out no-shows and does "battlefield " upgrades, but that doesn't really apply here. I don't want to be a DYKWIA guy - is this something I bring to the attention of an FA? Or do I just take my lumps and stay put in my middle seat?

I figured as much ... I even have the wait list handy on the phone to show. Originally Posted by javabytes
