GM flying LAS-NRT, can I upgrade to F with skymiles?
I reached GM late last year, this will be my first flight ever with status.
I understand that complimentary upgrades don't work on international legs.
Is it possible to upgrade with skymiles for those legs?
My flight is already booked in V. The flight is later this month. I used Pay with Miles to bring the cost down. If I can upgrade with miles, would this make me ineligible for anything?

Only Y,B,M fares for flights outside of US/Canada prior to Jun 1. S,H,Q,K will also be eligible for flights on/after Jun 1th. However, mileage requirements will be higher. Sorry, no mileage upgrades on cheap V fares (the only lower fare class is Basic Economy (E)).

K+ fares means higher pricing.
Sometimes it's just only a hundred+, other times it could be more like five hundred in difference.
e.g.
Jun 06 - Jun 13
LAS - NRT >> U/V/X fares: USD 1,333.66 >> K fares: USD 1,826.16
JFK - NRT >> U fares: USD 1,736.56 >> K fares: USD 1,986.56
ATL - SIN >> U fares: USD 1,480.66 >> K fares: USD 1,930.66
ATL - NRT >> U fares: USD 1,949.56 >> K fares: USD 2,199.56
