KL/DL codeshare upgrade
Is it possible to upgrade using the MSP-AMS leg on the following itinerary using Skymiles? If so, can MSP-AMS be in M or does it need to be in B or Y? Do I research upgrade space via the Flying Blue website or via Delta?
KL/DL MSP-AMS
KL/HV AMS-AYT
KL/HV AYT-AMS
KL/DL AMS-MSP
We're booking in this manner because DL doesn't offer a through fare to to AYT while KL does.

You would need to book in Y/B/M and need Z class inventory on KLM which should be viewable as a normal revenue 'discounted business' fare if you do a dummy booking search.

MSP-AMS will be always DL operated. You need M+ fare and you have to call Delta.
Transavia is a pricefighter; only one class: economy, no business class available.

Oops was thinking KL metal... you're right MSP<>AMS is DL metal so you'll have to call since you would need 'OP' inventory on the DL flights which can't be seen through any of the booking websites.

After being told it wasn't possible, we were able to book as KL operated by DL, and KL operated by HV, ticket on DL stock, and upgrade using DL miles.
Thank you all as always.
