THANKS for all of the great suggestions. I was checking fares this morning and the Business RT was up from $4188 to $5960. The Economy fares, however, were slightly less than they had been. Just for fun I plugged in my dates and was offered ugrades to Business for $2465 per ticket. This totaled out at $3765 per ticket RT for first and business. I bought them. I recall a recent post that mentioned that the upgrade offers were cheaper than simply buying the fare on the landing page and that's exactly what happened here.
My wife is going to be very happy and that makes for an easier journey!
