Thumbs down #BragTag

This is awful, now Delta is encouraging you flaunting these stupid tags. Oh and they made it clear in the picture silver means nothing to them anymore. There are not enough rolling eye emoticons for this one from social media at Delta.

I went with my usual SOP: Keep the medallion card and chuck the bag tags right in the trash.

DL social media is much savvier than the rest of the airline industry. They are keen to capitalize on the trend of sharing anything and everything with everyone. This feeds right into the younger demographics who have grown up with internet access anytime, all the time. Right in line with the reality TV shows and the celebs who like to post and flaunt stuff all the time on social media.

It is things like #BragTag that make people think they are superior at the airport, and throw temper tantrums when they dont get their way because I am a insert one of these (Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver) It is worse that Delta encourages it.

The whole loyalty program is designed to make people "feel" special. The #bragtag just further strokes the ego.

And hey, we aren't getting upgraded anymore so feeling special is all we got.

Personally calling it a brag tag is ironic to me. You are pretty much bragging that you are never home with your family...

Silvers don't get tags or cards any more — hence why they're not in the picture.

Perhaps this helps deflect attention from the fact they are making changes for the worse on the FFP side.

Was thinking of posting a pic of my old horribly bent clanky metal DM tag and thanking the baggage monkeys for mangling it

I hardly use the FaceBook, mainly because I can never find the 'dislike' button
