Let EF show DL info, including award and upgrade inventory. It's a lot easier to search a week at a time rather than use delta.dumb and call DL when trying to make plans.

I wish Delta could...

...come up with a working award calendar. I used it earlier this year and found all the negative comments to be true.

...come up with a real W product on board. I would fly internationally more if that was the case.

Have an app that actually worked.
One that showed upgrade lists for all flights
One that showed seat maps for any flight
One that showed incoming aircraft beyond just one flight
One that allowed updating of boarding passes in real time
One that functions a lot like Continental's did 4 years ago

Price match other airlines so we can stay loyal to Delta. (Or at least come within 200.00 of the other airlines so I can stay loyal and follow my company's travel policies.

There's another thread marking the 4th anniversary of the DL ATL DO.

Golly, was it really 4 years ago that a DL exec last lied about the company's feeble nonexistent efforts to provision their frustrated customers with functional IT?

AFAIK, OpUps are not a published benefit for medallions. Yes, they're nice, and you'd think they'd want to go by medallion level, but to say that they "steal" the upgrades from higher level medallions is a bit much. Domestic complimentary upgrades are a completely different story, but one shouldn't get angry when someone else with lower status gets a nice treat (which is exactly what am Op-up is) due to an oversold situation.

OPUPs would apply on segments where there aren't free elite upgrades. In that case, upgrades are being done for DL's convenience rather than as a published elite benefit. AFAIK it's still DL policy to follow a suggested priority order based on elite status, etc. But other factors, such as special meal orders or people traveling together, also play a role.

On domestic segments, being oversold in coach shouldn't give the GA carte blanche to ignore the upgrade list and just give people FC seats based on arbitrary whim.
