How to view upgrade availability in Sabre

So, now that upgrade availability is gone from ExpertFlyer, can anyone tell me how it's possible to view it in Sabre?

When I do a display, I get something like the following
124AUGSFOJFK‡DL«
24AUG SUN SFO/PDT JFK/EDT‡3
1DL 2340 J8 C5 D3 I2*SFOJFK 8 130P 1016P 752 L 0 DCA /E

Z9 Y9 B9 M9 S9 H9 Q9 K5 L0 U0

e.g. I can't see if there's O availability

but if I try to long-sell a segment,
0DL2240O24AUGSFOJFKNN1« 920P 545A S S 25AUG M SEG 1 SS O /DCD

DEP-TERMINAL 1 ARR-TERMINAL 4

I can see that there is indeed O availability. Is there a way to get Sabre to show R/O by default in the availability display? (throwing -O on doesn't seem to help)

I don't think it was ever visible in Sabre

I have a Sabre subscription for about $50 a month. My wife taught me how to use it. Here is what I use to get O availability (see below). I use the same for R availability. I don't know how to get the subsets of O/R. Hope this helps.

Thanks, the direct connect seems to be the ticket to get it to show. If you don't use DCA but instead just do e.g. 121AUGSEAAMS-O‡DL« you get crap. This is a huge help, thanks!

Hello all, I usually hate to resurrect such an old thread, but this one seems to be exactly what I need. However, when I try to the command listed above, I get the response "NO MORE". Since I know that Delta has done a LOT to reduce visibility into it's magical upgrade availability since this thread was active, does anyone know if this should still work in Sabre?

It still works. NO MORE means there are no flights with R/O inventory.

Excellent, thank you very much! 22 days out from the first flight I am concerned about, hoping they release some upgrade inventory at 3 weeks.

How do you type the symbols required to use these commands on a MacBook Pro keyboard?

I don't recall which is which, but the two symbols I tend to need are accessed by typing one of these keys: the apostrophe and the left and right bracket keys. One of them shows up as the Yen symbol, I think, and the other shows up as that square with angled legs coming out of it.

The important key here is this one:

Ok, so according to one blog post I found, if I am reading it correctly, in order to find GUC availability on the international segments of my upcoming flight, I need to see O bucket inventory, and for my domestic legs, unless they share a flight number with an international flight, I need to see R bucket inventory. Is this correct?

Yes. If the front cabin is coded as Business, you need O inventory. If the front cabin is coded as First, then you need to see R.

Excellent, thank you! Now if only some of that would come available on any of my flights! 20 days out and nothing.

Does this R/O inventory include only upgrade space and not award space?

The R/O includes only the upgrade space. You can search for N, or whichever class you want to search for in sabre, and view availability.
