Help needed with flight

Background--I'm EP with AA and low status with UA, but no status with DL. Wanted to go to the south of Spain and use upgrades on AA but connections are horrible. Voila! I discovered Air France, using some DL and KLM flights. So I booked and paid with my DL FF # being used., and everything seemed OK. Then I tried 'manage my bookings' on AF website, and couldn't find myself. 1st call to 1-800 #--was told to use KLM site??!! Partly worked! 2nd. call--my name was backwards. Fixed! 3rd. call--was told DL would e mail me itinerary with FF #. Got itinerary without FF #. 4th.call--told log onto DL with FF #, and flights will appear. Only two of five segments show up. I guess I'm used to my status at AA, where it is so easy, at least for me, to book and pay for flights. Last year's booking on AA took maybe five minutes, but this year the connections with Iberia don't mesh. Anyway, any ideas as to whom to call on 1-800# re my flights--AF? KLM? DL? My first two outbound flights are on DL. Merci in advance.

AF/DL/KL share customer service based on region. If you call from the US, you'll get DL regardless. In theory, all have access to each others systems, but YMMV. If you want a specific airline's customer service, twitter is your best bet. Historically, klm.com is best at dealing with multi-carrier itineraries, though things have improved a bit lately.

Did you book at airfrance.com or delta.com?

Also, if your concern is just getting credit for the flights (since you said you have no status), I wouldn't worry about that too much. DL is pretty good about fixing posting errors should they happen.

Still lost. What is YMMV? And what is the fine print for DL carry on domestic and overseas svp?

I must admit that I found your post confusing, but I'd suggest that you phone Delta. Their record for your first flight should show the later flights, as long as everything is on the same reservation.

Rules for carry-on and checked baggage usually depend on the entire reservation, not the individual portions.

To see all your segments, look on the site of the carrier you booked with (AF). Look it up using either your confirmation number or your ticket number, not your frequent flyer number. Ticket number is the most reliable.

You can look up your reservation on the Delta site, however it might not show all segments, only the Delta flights. Same thing happens in reverse when you book on DL and have flights on AF... The AF site often doesn't show the Delta segments, especially if they're first.

You should know the following and take this information with you when traveling:

Your ticket number

AF PNR

DL PNR

It's also good to have printouts from the DL and AF websites.

A convenient trick to see your entire ticket is to enter the ticket number and your (last) name on tha Saudia website. This also works for a lot of nonSkyTeam carriers, even when the PNRs are unknown.

Here it is 10 days since I started this thread, and I don't seem to have progressed. The wizards at DL?,AF?, KL?, agent said she works for all three, said that even though I booked with AF, my first flight is a DL one, and DL would send me new locator # and ticket # which they did and it showed all my flights. Metal is as follows: Outbound is DL-DL (2 segments); Return is KL-KL-DL (3 segments, so as to avoid overnight layover). Seems to be a problem with AA, and UA, that if you're not in Paris nor London and have non stop to the USA, you need to stay overnight somewhere. That's why I booked with AF. But I digress. Yesterday I was at MIA, and went to the DL counter with my DL locator # and ticket #. With these they could only find segments 2 and 4. Same with using my Skymiles #. Only 2 and 4 showed up! They said ticket was exchanged??!! They said call DL. So now I ask. What 1-800 # do I call to get a 'fixer'? Sorry now I didn't book with AA and disjointed Iberia connection flights. If ticket were wrong, I'd have the wonderful EP desk of AA.

As it sounds like you booked via AF, have you tried looking at your itinerary on airfrance.us? Also, if booked via AF, you can contact them via their online system to look at the ticket and verify your segments.

This can be true in some instances, especially with reward travel, but it is certainly not correct as a general rule.

Help! Help! Help!

Spent 118 minutes on phone last night with AF, KL, DL, the last 30 with a supervisor from Salt Lake City. I'm no further ahead than 11 days ago when I started this thread. PLEASE READ ALL POSTS TO THIS THREAD. My flight starts on Delta metal, and DL can't find me!!!!!! Is there a Mr. or Ms. Fixit somewhere in the DL, KL, AF family to help as I mentioned in my first post, and my name still keeps coming up backwards.

Have prices changed since your original booking? Have you tried asking the Delta agents to cancel the whole thing and refund (not just give you a credit) your payment, waiving any cancellation fees. Can they see the ticket charges?

Then start all over again, either with the less convenient travel on AA or booking on the DL website, not on AF.

My guess is that whoever "fixed" your name only fixed it on either Delta or KL segments and not on the other segments and may have re-issued your ticket for just those segments, breaking them into separate tickets or reservations. So your Delta confirmation may show different ticket numbers from your original Air France one.

Try accessing your reservation on each site using your name in the correct order and then reversed, in each case trying both ticket numbers (if they are different). From those searches you should be able to track down each segment.
