Does the SkyMiles name still make sense?
With the recent changes does the program name still make sense?
SkyMiles. What miles? Miles earned for elite status qualification? It's questionable miles will continue to be used for qualification.
Time for a program name change?
In November when we see the new 2015 award chart and elite qualification criteria I believe we will see a name change. Something along the lines of SkyPoints.

Dullta already had SkyPoints before - about a decade ago.
See here:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/delta...edit-card.html
The terms of it sound very like much if not the Sky"Miles" of 2015 then the Sky"Miles" of 2016 is likely to be.
The four of five award levels are there as well:
Why think of something new if you can just recycle the old?

I heard from an well-connected agent in the Baggage Claim Office that when the 2015 Award Chart and 2016 Medallion elite level qualifications are rolled out the name of the program will change to:
SkyRobbery

I don't, sorry.. I think it was that in some job postings DL had worded it that the work was on the "EOS" project to implement "RBMA" and "FBATR" (this was back in 2012 when FBATR, RBMA, etc. was all brought to light here). Once the link to the job posts got posted here, the job posts were promptly removed by DL.
