Delta let me upgrade the TATL portion of tomorrow's DCA-ATL-CDG-BUD for 75k SMs (I could have paid $750.00 instead of cashing miles); my upgrade does not extend to the AF operated segment to BUD (I'm in "premium economy", the front half of the stools and ropes section).

I'm on a V fare.

After an almost 3 month dry run, SDC'd to the 2pm PHL-ATL last week and got a gate UG.

Hooray for traveling during commuter times...

Haha how funny. I was actually on the 1:10pm departure, DL760. I avoid the redeye whenever possible. It's just too short and uncomfortable and upgrades are tough on it.

just did DCA-ATL-DXB (12/13) and DXB-AMS-JFK-DCA (12/15). All V class.

Upgraded on both domestic legs (DCA-ATL and JFK-DCA) at the gate.

JFK-SDQ - X - Cleared at the window
SDQ-JFK - X - Cleared at the window

Still 100% as a Silver but this might change as my last JFK-SDQ flight of the year has very few seats available in Business. Worst case scenario, I'll have an EC seat.

Yes.

To complete the story, on the way back home I was in the first row of premium economy on KL BUD-AMS (only 4 people sitting in "KLM Europe Select" out of 12 unblocked seats). I went into Crown Lounge 25 in AMS (the first club I passed while walking from Gate D72 to Gate E24) and, after having something to eat and starting to walk out of the club, noticed a large kiosk-type machine. I scanned my BP and, lo and behold, the kiosk offered me a chance to upgrade to KLM World Business Class for €289.00. I grabbed it. The equipment was an older 777-200 with the old cradle/160 degree tilt seats. The food, drink and FA service was absolutely outstanding. Got 5 hours of sleep. Very good flight.

Excellent. I always remind people to check the kiosks @AMS. Best upgrade deals at the kiosk (if you do not get an OLCI offer). And always better than the DOD upgrade program (at the lounge/transfer desk), which should be a last resort.
