Advance 2014 to 2013

Looks like I'll end 2013 with about 350 MQM's short of re-qualifying for Silver/FO. However, I'll have a TATL flight on Jan 3. Any chance I can use these 2014 miles to help my 2013 total? Call/email DL about this?
I might consider a MR if above will not work. (I have no opportunity for Hilton's 250 MQM promotion.)
Thanks, Jazz

Do a large MR if it isn't more expensive. Once you qualify for FO, MQMs roll over.

Advance 2014 to 2013

I guess after Halloween we're going to start seeing the soft landing and bump me up because I almost made it beggars starting their threads. Always entertaining!

Rather than doing 2 stays at Hiltons just to earn Skymiles, a MR will gain more EQMs and also gain RDMs.

Maybe a SFO-MKE-SFO MR will do the work!

Can I ask a silly question? How is it possible that a MR is a possibility and the Hilton MQMs aren't?

Delta has historically also been willing to sell you a few MQMs at the end of the year, though pricing isn't great. I would bet they will do so again. Though as always, YMMV.

There are also various credit card offers you could avail yourself of.

Second that! By the MQMs in December or take a flight... It really is that easy. I wouldn't waste the effort or breath to write/call DL. No waiver or consideration is going to be given, nor should it. The rules are straight forward on what you need to have earned (via numerous methods) during the calendar year.

Thanks for all the feedback. Guess I'll do a cheap and short MR from DTW. Haven't done a MR before so will lurk FT's MR forum for that
Cheers, Jazz

As there are no guaratees DL will sell MQMs this year, I would look for a quick MR!

I just did a quick check for the area and being in DTW, you are kind of stuck. Week of November 18th has some options for $158. DTW-STL, same day turn. More than enough miles. Way cheaper than 2, 2 night stays at Hilton properties.
