I just got questioned on my account details and asked where i last traveled to in order to verify it was me when calling to change an award ticket. I never had this happen before and she said this is supposed to happen every time i call in? is that not a little wierd

No,steadily over the last few years I have seen a trend towards - additional verification. I think it is a good thing overall. ^

Yes but sometimes where you last flew isn't reflected on your FF account if the posting is delayed. Then you have to backtrack on your itinerary to get the question answered correctly.

Delta SOP. If i make changes or wants to apply a SWU i have to give my name, adress and details of last credited flight.
Though my local Delta skymiles center is more strict in it then the USA based DM and PM-GM centers.

+1. I know many people find a boarding pass on the ground call up and cancel the person's reservation and whatnot. Or even worse just do it online. Nice to see more security.
