Why is only beer and wine offered?

I believe it is state law. Only restaurants can serve other forms of liquor.

While I agree with you that the sky clubs are not the value they once were, this particular instance is not the fault of DL. Oregon law is quite specific about how many substantial food items must be available if liquor is being sold. Very few airport lounges would qualify.

ETA: Before the beverage changes happened, the PDX SC could be used as a showcase for the awesomeness that is Oregon beer and wine. Sad.
