Delta Delta Delta, can't you see? Sometimes it's really a 763...

Earlier today, DL posted on their Facebook/Twitter pages this picture:

with the caption 777, cant you see? Sometimes your jets just hypnotize me.

...only problem is, that isn't a 777 in the picture. Looks to be a 767. Oops.

What makes you think it's a 767?

I'm guessing because of the fan blades...

the rounded contour windows are a feature of both the 777 and the 764 ... the 762 and 763 both have the older-style rectangular windows

My guess is a 764.

Here's what the GE90 fan blades look like on a 777

Based on the picture posted above, it has to be a 777. Do you see the spacing in the windows aft of the wing? Only appears on the 777-200 and none of the 763/764 birds.

Delta reviews its aircraft engines periodically so that we are able to make changes based on customer feedback, financial considerations and other factors including the variety of options that we offer our passengers.

It was a difficult decision, but it was an exciting one.

Delta's 777-200ER's have RR Trent engines so perhaps the aircraft in the photo is a 772ER.
