WS E+ from DL codeshare

Has anyone any experience with getting WS E+ seating when flying on a DL codeshare?

Have a flight next week, and it seems WS charges for advance seat selection, but it doesn't even seem like there's an option to choose the E+ seating. Would be nice to be able to open a laptop, and certainly want to avoid middle seating..

I'm assuming surely DL status doesn't help here..

Does WS have E+ seating? I don't think so. All the WS flights I have been on are standard WN-style 737s, no differentiation in class.

I've had luck with getting exit row seating on WS, at the gate/check-in. I think they charge extra for it but don't seem to do so for DL code shares?

Also, you have to check in with WS and not DL if WS is the first leg of your flight.

Yes, WestJet has economy plus seating in the first three rows with about 36" pitch; to create it they squeezed the rest of the cabin.

It was a bit of a pain to even get a ws pnr, and even with it, it seems that online seat selection is not possible. WS IT makes DL IT look advanced.
