Difference between O and R?

Whenever I've been upgraded, it shows class flown as either R or O, what's the difference between the 2?

O domestic usually means a direct international flight, i.e., your flight shares its number with an international flight.

Thanks for this! The only time I see O is on the late DTW-MSP flight. That flight number (not plane) is a MEX-DTW earlier in the day. BRILLIANT!

I know that one well.

If you're checking for upgrades on EF, don't forget to specify both R and O to see all flights.
