DL plus $14, minus more goodwill.
SDC'd from the 4:00 to the 5:30 JFK-SFO. (I did have to suffer through the agent looking at my boarding pass and going "Let's see.... original flight was booked in T, is T available? What time was the original flight..." despite the fact that I booked this flight in January.)
Original seat was 19D. Was able to get 19B on the new flight.
Missed the upgrade by one (hey, it happens-- I'm on a T fare.) Thought I was a bit lucky when 19E opened up when its occupant got upgraded.
Oh, no. Drink service comes around, and I ask for a rum and Coke. The flight attendant informs me that it'll be $7.
But... I thought drinks were free in EC on transcons, I say. Oh, you're not in Economy Comfort, the flight attendant says. So I show her my boarding pass which has the old seat assignment and we both look over at the now empty seat (at least the guys in 19A and 19C have more room.) I explain that I COULD be in Economy comfort, I'd just prefer not to be in a middle seat.
Sorry, she says. There's nothing she can do.
Well, then, make it a double, says I.
At the end of the day, paid with a HOOU and Platinum Amex, so it didn't cost me anything, but... seriously, Delta?
Thanks for having my back.

Stupidity on the FA's part. You should have offered to move back to your middle seat for the drink.
