Oh For Pete's Sake!
I received today by email an invitation to participate in an on-line DAL Skymiles survey and was offered an incentive of 250 miles. (That's enough for a free ticket, right? )
It's quick, and it was focused on whether I had received my "credentials packet" and all that.
But this question was fun:
Would you be interested in purchasing any of the following items?
Additional bag tags.
Smartphone / Tablet Covers with Your Medallion Tier Level Branding.
Golf Shirts with Your Medallion Tier Level Branding. [You have GOT to be kidding me!]
I can just imagine the DYKWIA crowd strutting about town with their "Look at me! I'm a Diamond Level Person!" golf shirts on.

Next, you will be offered this purchase opportunity as part of, and before you can complete, your on-line reservation purchase.
You'll have to put a check mark in a square box next to "NO. I do not want to buy any DL team gear today" before you can finalize your reservation.

I voted NOT on the opportunity to purchase the right to wear their advertising.
After the no more Woodford thread and that survery I'm feeling a little more ham sammichy than usual today.

The SC at B27 was a frenzy of cleverly displayed DM tags.... It is amusing watching grown men try to show how cool they are because of their status........

Even funnier to me is that people bid on old Medallion Bag tags on eBay to pretend (and lead others into believing) they have status!

Another reason I never, ever use the tags. My favorite are the individuals who I watch turn over their tags if facing face down.
