How good of a redemption value is this?

120k+ 200$ stopover in australia on the way to thailand . Everything business class except lax-syd .

17 hour flight in Y...yuck! Hope EC or the exit row is open...

I'd say is a good redemption. LAX-SYD is only 15.5h too (still quite long). If the flight is on VA, I've browsed seat maps of flights going out and they seem quite empty. I'm not sure if that is because they really aren't that full, or it's just a lot of people with unassigned seats. Also read VA Y is one of the best if you are indeed stuck back in Y.

I mean i stalking the flight to see if business opens up haha. But i am curious if i were to buy this ticket as a revenue ticket how much would it cost? I got the ticket for their summer december 13th-jan 8th
