Is there/should Delta have a Million Miler level that awards Diamond Medallion?

With MQD's coming faster than an FO moving down the upgrade list on any ATL-LAX flight, I would love to know FT's thoughts on Delta adding, at some level, "annual" Diamond Medallions status.
You who have GM or PM have it made being exempt from MQD's (for now) but should 7 or 8 or 10 million MQM's give you DM status? To me, 10 MM should get DM for life! Agree or am I way off here?

DL could probably afford to give lifetime (sorry, I mean "complimentary annual") DM status to the small handful of people who reach 10MM. Are you nearly there?

10MM way to high
Since SM is 1MM GM is 2MM and PM is 4MM I would say 6 MM. If you fly domestic say 30-40 weeks per year for a career it is out of reach unless you are going coast to coast. I have ~3.3MM via DL and NW and maybe another 500K via Piedmont, AA,UA, Eastern and USAir, so most of my focus has been DL/NW. I have been flying regularly since 1983.
I would have no shot at it at even 5 MM BTW.
