Which Plane for 1st Class?

I will be traveling SFO-DTW in a few weeks. It will be in 1st. Can you tell me which plane would have best seats please?

738, 757-200 or 767-300.

Thank you!!!

767-300, and it's not even close. Surprised to see that plane on that route.

The OP's post is kinda null, but it is interesting how different planes appear in different routes. Last Thu I had an 11something AM flight MCO-EWR. (all single aisle planes.) I arrived my usual hour and a half early and spotted a 764 at another gate replacing a 738 to EWR. Had a nice conversation with the GA. Apparently she was as amused as I was by that fact and she said, that it just came here yesterday and they don't know why and it is going up North now. I asked if I can standby and board that bird (was empty) and she said that not for F, because they had not boarded enough food (a reasonable reason.) So I boarded my scheduled 752 45 minutes later.

Plane changes happen... And I am sure that some E- folks had a blast in that flight

Which 767-300? Is it the domestic plane that's 2-2-2? Because if so, that's a tight pitch in FC. If it's the international 767-300ER with 1-2-1 or 2-2-2 B/E, then by all means yes. I think SFO-NRT is on the 767-300ER so this might be a rotation for it, although I'm surprised if it rotates to DTW.

If it's the domestic 767-300, I say no and go for a 757-200. It's actually a tie based on what you want from FC. On the 767, you can have direct aisle access without anyone needing to get across (aisle seat in the middle section), though 2-2-2 is only 1 less seat across than coach. And pitch can get tight. In fact, my favorite seat on the 767 is row 26 in coach.

It's just a domestic 767-300. The 767 flight on SFO-DTW began last Friday. They also now have a 767 on one of the LAS-DTW flights.

752 is the choice.

When you get someone going full recline in front of you on the 763 or 738 they're practically in your face.

^

On the 738, I actually prefer the limited legroom bulkhead solely for this poor pitch and recline.

757 is the best of these options, assuming they are all domestic configurations. The 757 has the most leg room, and it also is a separate cabin.... if they bring the jet bridge to the correct door, coach will turn right to board and first will turn left, meaning that the flight attendants can quickly serve pre departure drinks and its calm and peaceful in first during the boarding process.

The 767 domestic is VERY tight and many people have complained about the first class on here.

The 737 is OK, but not great, and its not a private walled off cabin like the 757.

Yes but if you want to be guaranteed sat TV or AVOD in general you go 763. Most of the 752 configs don't have it.

So what would you suggest as the best F seat on the domestic 767?

Row 7. But if you're worried about a possible equip change, then row 6.

Maybe I'm biased but I've just never enjoyed my time on the 738. As others have said, the domestic 763 is quite crowded and I've always found the 752 to be the best and is my go-to domestic aircraft. IF there is an international aircraft though, that's always the best way to go.

+1... if it's a domestic 763, forget it. Tight pitch and narrow seats. Though it will be guaranteed to have AVOD, whereas depending on the 752 config it might not... but I'd still choose the 752.
