Which Plane for 1st Class?
I will be traveling SFO-DTW in a few weeks. It will be in 1st. Can you tell me which plane would have best seats please?
738, 757-200 or 767-300.
Thank you!!!

Which 767-300? Is it the domestic plane that's 2-2-2? Because if so, that's a tight pitch in FC. If it's the international 767-300ER with 1-2-1 or 2-2-2 B/E, then by all means yes. I think SFO-NRT is on the 767-300ER so this might be a rotation for it, although I'm surprised if it rotates to DTW.
If it's the domestic 767-300, I say no and go for a 757-200. It's actually a tie based on what you want from FC. On the 767, you can have direct aisle access without anyone needing to get across (aisle seat in the middle section), though 2-2-2 is only 1 less seat across than coach. And pitch can get tight. In fact, my favorite seat on the 767 is row 26 in coach.

757 is the best of these options, assuming they are all domestic configurations. The 757 has the most leg room, and it also is a separate cabin.... if they bring the jet bridge to the correct door, coach will turn right to board and first will turn left, meaning that the flight attendants can quickly serve pre departure drinks and its calm and peaceful in first during the boarding process.
The 767 domestic is VERY tight and many people have complained about the first class on here.
The 737 is OK, but not great, and its not a private walled off cabin like the 757.

Maybe I'm biased but I've just never enjoyed my time on the 738. As others have said, the domestic 763 is quite crowded and I've always found the 752 to be the best and is my go-to domestic aircraft. IF there is an international aircraft though, that's always the best way to go.

+1... if it's a domestic 763, forget it. Tight pitch and narrow seats. Though it will be guaranteed to have AVOD, whereas depending on the 752 config it might not... but I'd still choose the 752.
