No idea if PWM will effectively reduce the MQD earned by the paid with miles portion either.

As far as ECV's, I have no idea...

I don't think the question has ever been answered by an official Delta source but it would seem logical that the MQDs would accrue only after a flight. Otherwise, you would have more people gaming than in Las Vegas.

Slightly OT but I hope they start posting MQDs so we can get a feel for at least the last quarter. I think October 1st is a reasonable target date. Allows them (DL IT) 3 months to iron out most issues.

YQ and YR count towards spend. Keep that in mind.

Does partner YQ and YR count towards MQD?

They've had >3yrs and still haven't 'ironed out' any of the award calendar issues... I don't have much if any faith in a heavily outsourced IT dept that is appears to be driven by marketing and revenue management.

Oh and regarding partner YR/YQ for MQDs... remember you only get credit it its booked on a DL 006 stock. Then I'd have to assume it is treated the same in terms of credit for YR/YQ.

Do miles still roll over?

I have seen some comments about excess miles earned in a year not rolling over and being able to be used as a base for qualifying the following year...is this true?

They still roll over, but that doesn't help much if you don't have the required spending.

Delta Reserve Card and the MQD program?

How does the Delta Reserve Card work in the new program? I use both the Delta Sky Miles card to buy flights and corporate purchases and the Delta Reserve Card which also earns MQMs at the $ 30,000 level (15,000 MQMs)??

Will this card continue to be part of the program given its perks of free entry to the SkyClub, etc.?

Thanks.

Spending $25k on any DL Amex waives/satisfies the MQD requirement. No announcements about any changes to other card benefits, AFAIK.

After reading padreandrew's post, I went back to the e-mail I received today (and had trashed without reading) and found this little tidbit in the footnotes:

"For purposes of calculating the Eligible Purchase threshold, Eligible Purchases will be combined across multiple Eligible Cards of the Basic Card Member if those Card accounts are linked to the same SkyMiles number. Eligible Cards are the following: Delta SkyMiles Options Credit Card, Delta SkyMiles Credit Card, Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card, Platinum Delta SkyMiles, Delta Reserve Credit Card, Delta SkyMiles Business Credit Card, Gold Delta SkyMiles Business Credit Card, Platinum Delta SkyMiles Business Credit Card and Delta Reserve for Business Credit Card from American Express."

Bought my first DL flight since February. However, as it's a RDU-BWI one way I don't think it's going to help me requalify for Silver Medallion too much :p

Newly minted GM - flew BRU-ATL in J on Saturday and had the miles post on Sunday. First time GM. Good to not have to snipe EC seats day of anymore.
