We are told to dispose of liquids other than water in the toilet as the coffee and soda could corrode the sinks in the lavs. It is common but I always pour the coffee slowly from 3+ feet above the toilet. No FA should ever actually touch the seat with the pot. Please let someone know, if you haven't already. Some of us actually take pride in our work. That is disgusting.
Thanks for your post and the great pride in the work you do for us ^

Reminds me of an excellent Ask the Pilot column; dumping things down the toilet is fine, just make sure that it's not dry ice you're disposing of...

Just be thankful that the pot did not touch a computer keyboard.

What if someone who cannot be separated from the internet for 2 hours (or, in this case, for 5 minutes) has signed up for GoGo and takes his laptop into the bathroom?

Is the contagion factor additive or multiplicative?

Sick. I hate using keyboards on public computers especially! I definitely picked up something gross on one once. Bleaghh. It's probably not the safest idea but I use a q-tip doused in hydrogen peroxide and swab my laptop keys on occasion to disinfect.
