Upgrade Question

I'm having to fly on a full Y fare for an upcoming FLL-ATL flight. I'm currently an FO and my upgrade on the inbound cleared immediately. The upgrade on the outbound did not clear at time of booking and ExpertFlyer is showing V0.

Since the upgrade is requested, I assume it will clear (it is a full Y fare) at some point between now and the day of the flight.

It will clear if Delta releases more V inventory, or if FC seats are available at the gate. An upgrade from full Y isn't guaranteed.

yup - if there are upgrades available you will be close to the top of the list BUT never assume.. you may be disappointed.

I ended up changing the outbound to the next outbound flight - which had V1 - after the one I had originally booked. Once changed it was booked into V. Problem solved.

FLL-ATL is over in 1h22m anyway, so it's not end of the world if one doesn't get upgraded. I wouldn't pay $50 to upgrade.

OP has a FULL Y ticket so there should never be a SDC fee.
