Skyclub day pass question for Gold AMEX cardholder

I am trying to buy a sky club pass for a friend who is traveling home without me tomorrow. I have the Delta Gold AMEX. I was wondering if it is possible to purchase her a pass for $25 online or at the airport outside security.

Nope. There is no physical pass for this benefit, unlike the $50 day pass. The cardholder purchases entrance to the club at the Sky Club itself. Any guests (up to two) must enter with the cardholder at an additional $25 per guest.

Also, the $25 pass is for one entry, not one day.

Both the above are correct. Discounted SC access for DL AmEx holders is for a single visit, not a one day pass, so if your friend had any connections they would not be able to access the SC at subsequent airports. Also, this is not a pass, per se... there's nothing to buy and present to the SC agents. The AmEx holder just walks into the club and pays for it using the card.

If your friend wants SC access, best bet is to buy the discounted SC one day pass using the kiosk during check-in... $39 if I recall correctly.
