Missing Z Class Using FlightStats

Hi everyone,

It's been a while since I have tried a TPAC mileage upgrade on DL. I am planning to purchase an M class fare and upgrade with miles. Previously, just confirmed a Z seat existed on Expert Flyer, booked online, then called to upgrade.

Now, looking at DL630 on 11/17, I see this:

J/1 C/0 D/0 I/0 S/0

No mention of a Z class at all.

I can't find anything on DL's website or this forum that references any change to the policy, but maybe I'm wrong. Ideas?

Thanks.

You should be using EF's award and upgrade availability tab to look for Z, not flight availability.

I'm sorry, I was using FlightStats, looks like there's no more free trial at EF anymore. Any alternative?

Fyi, a pretty good indicator of Z is if the flight is close to full... for example in your case with just J1, you're not going to find Z available. Generally if you don't see D, S or I available odds are worse for finding Z in advance.

Other question, are you looking for the entire MNL-DTW or NGO-DTW?

A phone call to Delta to ask about Z inventory will work.

Would you care to change your thread title so many can avoid wasting their time with this? 'How do I find Z inventory?' would not mislead.
