Earn 20,000 skymiles for a transatlantic cruise (0.035/mile)
Delta is offering for the next two days 10,000 miles plus double miles for any balcony or suite booked on their site. There is a tranatlantic repositioning cruise that is offered for 699 USD (balcony) on Celebrity Cruises departing on the Novemeber 26. Other repositioning deals are available but this is the cheapest one to qualify for the deal. 20,000 miles is equivalent to 0.035/mile and you get free food/lodging and entertainment for two weeks! Great deal if you have the time.

20k miles equals half a domestic Y award (practically speaking), so the miles are barely worth anything, IMO. No MQMs = no meaningful value.
I consider redeemable miles a fluff benefit to the MQMs earned, eventually adding up to enough to be worth something (if you're willing to deal with the broken award booking process). I'm starting to think that saving up to bid on the auctions might be the best redemption value.

The transatlantic cruises in the fall always represent some of the best per diem per, night rates for cruising out there, and Celebrity has a decent big-ship product.
