Row 1 in BE Int'l

So for BE international flights (767 or A330, not reconfigured):

Is Row 1 great because no one reclines into you or terrible because you are right near the galley?

I got it once and we actually felt it had less leg room then the other rows.

I don't like row 1 on these particular aircrafts. Row 1 on the 747 is nice.

It's a hard bulkhead without cutouts for feet or personal items.

If the 767 has recliner seats go for the 330. Leg room is better and the seats are wider. If you're on a 764 with Lie-flat seats that's a different matter.

Some tend to avoid the front of the 767 cabins due to galley noise.

This is what I do. Take all the "stuff" out of the pocket and put it above you in overhead. Then you have a pocket for all YOUR stuff.

I like ROW 1 AB as you get 1st choice of food. No one to recline into you. EZ access to washroom. Great service as they "see you". I always shoot for 1AB but that is just me!

+1 First choice of meal is important to me, and if it's a full house it is possible they'll run out of your choice by the time they make it to your row further back.

On the 330 I don't particularly worry about someone reclining into me. The shells minimize the effect IME.

On the 763 I like having row 1 because the recline on those does tend to be a bit more intrusive to those behind.

As always, though, YMMV.

Bulkhead on the 330 is great because there is an unbelievable amount of room in front of you.

On the 763, I'm not as big a fan, preferring row 2 or 3.
