Transcon EC Question
Hi Everyone,
I have been taking the JFK - LAX trip almost weekly since January and have had access to free AVOD entertainment any trip as long as I was in BusinessElite or Economy Comfort.
I am currently on DL52 from JFK - LAX and am being told these seats have never included free AVOD entertainment (movies, TV, etc). Is this correct and for my 20 or so other trips this calendar year I've just been lucky?

If a phone agent told you this, hang up and call back! They are wrong!

I am a PM with delta and am currently inflight. Is F economy comfort? J is business, right? I'm not always great remembering the different class fairs outside of LUTQKH fairs. Is there something I can pull up to show the Flight Leader?

F is First Class and J is Business or Business Elite, which is the type of service that's offered up front on LAX/JFK. Video should be free up front, but not in back.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 3G: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_1_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9B206 Safari/7534.48.3)
I just re-read your post. Economy Comfort is Y. As far as I know, you do have to pay for video in Y.

Hmm last time I flew this route on a 75E (some time ago) avod was available in Y free of charge as the A/C was not equipped with live tv. One did have to pay for HBO if I'm not mistaken. Has this changed?

Back to the OP - - Is the system trying to charge you? - - And where are you sitting? Economy Comfort or up front?
