a first for me!
This was a first for me..
We've all seen the threads where people go to buy a ticket only to have Delta raise the price on them just before check out.
The other day I got a flight to DFW using sky pesos. 40,000 miles necessary, so I booked it. Upon final check out, I was only deducted 32,500. I'm still not sure how this happened but I'm not complaining.
anyone else had this happen? The mile amount being REDUCED at purchase?

Had the same thing happen on a trip to ICN that I was booking. Dropped from 150,000 on the on the outbound screen to 120,000 when the return flights appeared. BE.

Personally, I don't care, but, many on here may suggest that you use a more descriptive heading/title when you post - and you will probably get more replies, as more people will know the basics of what your post is all about!

eg: "Mileage Requirement DROPPED when Booking an Award Ticket!"
(I think there are a couple of threads like that!)

I don't understand how this is possible for an award ticket with all segments in BE or FC. TPAC is 120,000 low in BE and 220,000 medium, so that half low and half medium should price at 170,000. OTOH, if the original ticket was 150,000, that's 120,000 + 30,000, and there should not be a domestic connection for 30,000; it should be 25,000/32,500/40,000 for coach and 45,000 and above for FC. Could there have been some intraAsia segments on the booking?

For me, it's also not uncommon to click on a MED date and have a LOW fare on the next screen. Re-search and it's still MED on the calendar. Not as often as clicking on a LOW date and getting a MED fare, but it happens...
